Hi, my name is neeko.
My passion for magic came pretty late. Before magic I was practicing freestyle football. I don't remember how old I was when I started, but my earliest memories are with a football.
At the age of 14 I became a freestyle football and technical coach for young kids. I know, being a kid as well.
Performing in front of people was my true passion, I was lucky to get amazing opportunities. More on this below.
On the right picture I was at the Belgian Championship. I never saw this as a competition, but just another opportunity to perform for people!
As I said I had amazing opportunities and my two biggest accomplishments were in Paris. The first show was in "Paris Bercy", which is now called "Accor Arena", in front of 15.000 people!
The second show, and the biggest was in the "Stade de France", for the French league cup. This was in front of 80.000 people! This was in 2008, and it was also my last show. It was my first show after a pretty serious knee injury in 2006.
Between 2006 and 2008 was also the time I started to pick up magic. After this Stade de France show I performed for the hotel staff, to this day I still talk about it in my stage show, what a night!
Magic & Comedy
As previously said, the period I started magic isn't really clear. It was between 2006 - 2008. However the day I performed for the very first time will be engraved forever, 30/08/14 !
It was at the Kings of Comedy Club in Brussels, and this also shaped my style. I love the minimalistic approach of standup comedy. No big props, no big decors, just a mic and an audience. As for freestyle, I entered some comedy competition, got to a final, won one, but this was just another excuse to perform !
Fun fact regarding this picture, the football I use in this trick is the football I juggled with in 2008, at the Stade de France!
